Rhys is a full-time Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Cardiff. He has been a Consultant since 2001 and his work deals exclusively with disorders of the foot and ankle. Due to his extensive experience in his specialist field, Rhys is regularly invited as a keynote speaker and poster presenter at conferences around the world. Having been born and raised in South Wales, Rhys attended University College Hospital London. He returned to Wales to undertake his orthopaedic training. Rhys is married and has two young children.
